Food Industry
The food industry encompasses a wide range of processes that are connected to the whole production chain, from raw materials to end products. High standards of hygiene are required since it is essential to avoid contamination of the processed product. Fans are useful to dry fresh vegetables and fruits after washing. Dehydration is used to improve the preservation time for meat, ham, fish, and cheese, and prevent the growth of bacteria and yeasts. Artificial aging and seasoning processes may replace, integrate, or recreate weather or climatic conditions necessary to produce some kind of aged foods.
Storage of cereals requires humidity and temperature control through considerable amounts of filtered and controlled air.
